Abstract

In the preparation of resinous products, wherein two or more separate reactive components are mixed in appropriate proportions with or without the application of heat and/or pressure, each of the several components possesses a different, visually distinctive colour; this ensures that the components are thoroughly mixed since insufficient mixing results in streaks, and can also be used to ensure that the correct components are used and in the correct proportions. Mixtures referred to are (a) an unsaturated polyester styrene component and a catalyst component and (b) an epoxide resin component and a hardening agent component such as a polyamide resin or diethylene triamine with or without a polysulphide. The colouring agent used may be a dye or up to 10% by weight of a pigment. Specification 801,705 is referred to.
