854,297. Vehicle bumpers. MORRIS MOTORS Ltd. Aug. 26, 1959 [Aug. 27, 1958], No. 27438/58. Class 103(2). A motor vehicle bumper 1, Fig. 1, comprised of sheet metal rolled into an open section, has a supporting flange 7 along one edge and extending throughout substantially the entire length of the bumper, the flange having drillings or slots to receive a multiplicity of closely spaced bolts 8 securing the bumper to a mounting flange 5 on the vehicle body 6. The flange 5 may be intersected to become in effect a series of lugs each containing a bolt hole.
