Abstract
The invention comprises the 1:1 molar adduct of 4:6-dimethyl-2-hydroxy-pyrimidine and 5-nitrofurfuraldehyde and the preparation thereof by mixing an excess of the pyrimidine derivative with the semicarbazone in an inert solvent such as methanol, benzene or dimethylsulphoxide.ALSO:An anticocicidial composition comprises chicken food together with the 1:1-molar adduct of 4:6-dimethyl-2-hydroxypyrimidine and 5-introfurfuraldehyde semicarbazone.
