Abstract
851,654. Rotary table compression-moulding machines. GIANNELLI, G. Dec. 23, 1958 [Dec. 28, 1957], No. 41413/58. Class 87(2). In a machine for the manufacture of tiles, or slabs, a die, movable relatively to a transfer structure, is mounted and centred thereon by means comprising two pins cooperating with contact profiles, at least one having a V-shaped recess, and means is provided to move the die relatively to said structure until each pin contacts a profile. A die-plate 24 is resiliently supported by a die frame 10 resiliently supported by springs 12 on a carriage structure 9 which carries rollers 8 slidable in guides 7 on a pair of arms 4. These arms are attached to a rotating table 3 and form a transfer structure which carries the die-plate beneath a press 2, Fig. 1, where a fluid-operated piston system 18 causes a stop 19 to urge the frame 10 and carriage 9 radially inwardly so that a pin 16 on each arm 4 is fully pressed into the V-shaped recess of each plate 15 on frame 10. After pressing, stop 19 is retracted and the arms moved round to an ejecting station, Fig. 4 (not shown) where the die is similarly centred. Each plate 24 has a vibrator 27 associated with it. The relative movement between the die and the structure may be effected via the resilient means supporting the die.
