Class 20(3) The roller shutter of parent Specification is modified by substituting extruded light alloy slats for the sheet metal slats. Each of the extruded slats, Fig. 4, has formed along one edge, a flange b parallel with but offset from the plane of the slat and along its opposite edge, an extension c in the plane of the slat, items band c being of greater thickness than the main portion 1 of the slat, and the flange b is adapted to lie behind the extension c of the adjacent slat, e.g. as shown in Fig. 2. Each slat is also formed at its opposite sides with U- shaped sections, the offset arms d of adjacent slats having secured thereto the hinges 2.
