849,667. Clothes pegs. SWISH PRODUCTS Ltd. March 3, 1958 [Dec. 1, 1956], No. 36816/56. Class 44. A clothes peg comprises a pair of normally dependent jaws 1, 2 the inner faces of one or both jaws being formed with a downwardly tapered channel 4, a gravity loaded ball or roller mounted in the channel or channels, the ball or roller 5 having a diameter greater than the narrowest gap obtaining between the jaws, the head 3, of the peg having a bore 6 in communication with the channel or channels to admit of the insertion of the ball or roller into the channel or channels and a transverse bore 7 in the head for the reception therethrough of a clothes line, the pair of bores mutually intersecting whereby the ball or roller is trapped within the peg by the clothes line. The or each channel 4 tapers to a minimum depth adjacent the mouth of the peg. Specification 849,668 is referred to.
