Abstract
846,657. Orientation of tapered rollers. HULLER G.m.b.H., K. Jan. 9, 1959 [Jan. 16, 1958], No. 827/59. Class 78 (1). Tapered rollers in hopper 1 are fed therefrom by rotating tube 3, the rollers falling down the tube 3 into pipe 4 so that the foremost roller is positioned in shoot 7. This roller is then pressed by plunger 10 operated periodically by rocking-arm 12 (not shown), so that it moves down past resilient strips 9 (not shown), into the space between two rollers 14. The rollers are made respectively of steel and rubber and rotate in the same direction. The effect is to displace the tapered roller right or left so that it falls nose-forwards down the respective right or left branch of guide tube 13 and is presented nose-first to the grinding machine 16.
