An electromagnetic record transducer comprises an inductive head 1 with a Hall plate generator 6 disposed in the gap 7 thereof. During recording the inductive and Hall voltage devices may be disposed in a common input to the first stage of the amplifier or may be connected to separate control electrodes, or divided into separate channels. During recording the Hall plate cannot participate actively in the recording, but may be employed for supervision or control purposes, such as for the reduction of recording voltage when predetermined values are exceeded.
