[Also in Group XVII] A conveyer 6 for imparting a simultaneous motion of translation and rotation to a horizontal slab 1 to set it on edge between grippers 17, 25, is actuated by the link mechanism 7 to 12 described in Specification 845,474. The mechanism now described includes means 3, 4, 15, 16 (see Group XVII) for placing a wrapper around the slab during such movement.
