845,027. Radio reflectors. CHEMRING Ltd. June 12, 1958 [June 12, 1957], No. 18502/57. Class 40(7). [Also in Groups VIII and XXXIII] A corner reflector is made of flexible material and is carried by an inflatable support mounted on and incorporated into an inflatable dinghy or a small inflatable marker boat. Where the support is an inflatable dinghy comprising tubes 6 and a protective canopy 7 the top of the canopy may consist of an inflatable tube 8 associated with a pair of crossed arch-shaped support tubes 9. The tubes 9 support the crossed vertical surfaces 10 of the reflector whilst a horizontal reflecting portion lies within the ring 9. Where an inflatable boat is to be used mainly or solely for supporting a corner reflector the structure of Fig. 3 may be used. This consists of upper and lower circular inflatable tubes 12, 11, joined by tubular pillars 13. Vertical and horizontal reflecting surfaces are arranged within the structure. The reflecting material may be silver coated nylon. Alternatively it may be a laminate, for example, metal foil or silvered nylon mesh inserted between flexible plastic film.
