Abstract

844,924. Omnibuses. DEANS & SON (YORKSHIRE) Ltd. Jan. 18, 1957 [Jan. 21, 1956], No. 2093/56. Addition to 727,908. Class 108(1). The universal joint between the stanchion 8 and the seat frame extension 9a comprises a pair of.links 1, 2 embedded in rubber compressed by the bell-mouthed sleeves 4 and 5, the links being screwed into bushes 10 secured to the stanchion 8 and the extension 9a. The locking spring arrangement 11 permits the sleeve 4 and link 1 to be screwed into the stanchion 8 but prevents their disengagement unless the spring is fractured.
