A kitchen work table top 1 is provided with openings for e.g. a sink, and an electric boiling plate 4 secured in position by the sleeve pin 9 of a depending stud 8 the pin being pressed between spring-pressed-together shell halves 11<SP>1</SP> clamped by an earthing bolt 13, mounted on an underneath bridge piece 6 having upstanding limbs 7 secured to the table 1. Underneath the table 1 can be slid an electric cooker 2 of which 17 is the top of the oven casing 2 supporting a junction box 19 for the leads 18, 20 which are brought to a switch on the front of the casing 2.
