Abstract

<PICT:0841918/IV(a)/1> In wet-spinning of viscose rayon, a cooling pipe, through which cooling liquor flows, is fitted at the upper edge of the drip channel and on the screening plate on the thread-withdrawal side of the coagulating or washing-bath tank, to prevent crystallization of salts thereon. As shown, a coagulating bath tank 4 is fitted with a coiled pipe 6 through which cold water flows, running along the edge 2 of the drip channel 1 and beside the screening plate 3. Any coagulating bath liquid flowing down plate 3 is collected in trough 7 or discharged via guttering 8.
