Abstract
The invention comprises the 17-esters of 19-nortestosterone with saturated and unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon carboxylic acids containing nine to eighteen carbon atoms. They may be prepared by reacting 19-nortestosterone dissolved in a solvent with the chloride or anhydride of the desired acid. The esters with decanoic, undecylenic, palmitic, oleic, myristic, lauric, tetradecene-13-carboxylic, dodecene-9-carboxylic and octene-7-carboxylic acids are described in examples.
