Abstract

840,252. Plant for moulding light-weight concrete building elements. INTERNATION. ELLA SIPOREX A. B. May 10, 1958, No. 15050/58. Class 87(2). A plant for manufacturing light-weight concrete building elements comprises at least one mould A, Fig. 1, having a base formed by a conveyer belt by which the moulded concrete is discharged from the mould, through a cutting device, on to a truck J which carries the moulded products into an autoclave K for steam-hardening. A number of autoclaves K may be provided as shown, the truck J being moved to a selected autoclave by a shunting truck H on rails G, and being returned after removal of the hardened products on rails M, O with the aid of a shunting truck L. Lightweight concrete is fed to the mould or moulds A from a mixer D by a transporter C movable on rails B, which guide a further transporter E for conveying reinforcement from a store F to the mould or moulds. The or each mould A is constituted by walls 16 to 19, Figs. 2 and 4, adapted to seal against a conveyer belt 13 forming the mould bottom. Devices are provided for raising and lowering, each wall, and the walls 17, 19 may be adjusted horizontally to alter the size of the mould. Steam or hot water passages, e.g. 16b, 17b in the mould walls and bottom facilitate the setting of the concrete. If desired the mould may be divided by partition walls, or cutting wires may be placed in the mould before it is filled and drawn up to cut the concrete mass transversely after it has set sufficiently. To discharge the cast concrete material 15 on to the truck J the mould walls are separated from the material, and the conveyer 13 is set into motion. During the discharge movement the height of the material 15 is regulated and its top surface smoothed by a cutting wire 33 carried by a scoop 31. The material 15 is also rolled between rollers 38, 39, the roller 38 being mounted on the scoop 31 to be adjustable therewith, and is then cut in vertical planes on passage through an adjustably inclined frame 41 having cutting wires 42 stretched across it. If desired a scoop may be provided for smoothing the lower surface of the material 15, and devices may be arranged for grooving and bevelling the material. To facilitate the loading of the material 15 on to the truck J a conveyer belt 53 is arranged to move with the material 15 over the upper surface of the truck J, being drawn out from a space 61 in the truck H.
