Class 97(3) [Also in Group XL(b)] In the measurement of the temperature of a body 11 by a thermocouple 2 on to which radiation is directed by a lens 9, a tubular member 10 maintained at the temperature of the body 11 is arranged between the body and the lens 9. The member 10 is so dimensioned that no direct radiation therefrom can reach the thermocouple.
