Abstract

823,164. Pyrometers. PLATT, J. R. Aug. 15, 1957 [No,v. 27, 1956], No. 36174/56. Class 87(3) An optical pyrometer P is attached, as by an intermediate tube S, to a refractory tube T intended to be immersed in a liquid of unknown temperature. The tube T may be closed by a window V and screwthreaded into a plug at the end of the tube S. The latter may carry a shield A and a slidable tube O which may be clamped by a screw W and carries a projecting member R which may be rested on the rim of a crucible.
