Abstract

A brazing or welding alloy comprises: .Al.76.2-85% by weight .Ag.12-19% by weight .Si.3-4.8% by weight Si may be introduced as silumin (an alloy of 10-14% Si, 86-90% Al). 1125 gr. Al, 250 gr. Ag and 55 gr. Si are mixed together and fused to give a welding or brazing material containing 78.7% Al, 17.5% Ag, 3.8% Si. The material may be made in rod form. Specification 648,482 is referred to.
