Abstract

832,838. Charging skip hoists. BARKER & SON ENGINEERS Ltd., W. H. Aug. 14, 1958 [Aug. 28, 1957; Dec. 24, 1957], Nos. 27074/57 and 40108/57. Class 78 (4). Material is delivered to the skips b of a skip hoist by tilting containers c, one for each skip, each fed by a corresponding endless-band conveyer f, f1 which is movable endwise and is fed from a conveyer h. In the construction illustrated the supply from the conveyer h is switched between the conveyers f, f<SP>1</SP> by pivoting a conveyer i to deliver to either of two shoots g. In an alternative construction (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) the conveyer i is omitted and the shoot g constructed so that it can be switched to deliver to either conveyer f, f1.
