831,855. Overhead conveyers. COLUMBUS McKINNON CHAIN CORPORATION. Jan. 31, 1958 [Jan. 31, 1957], No. 3296/58. Class 104(2). A conveyer trolley pusher mechanism comprises a body portion attached to a drive-member for movement thereby and a pair of pusher elements carried by the body portion and spaced apart to receive a trolly drive lug therebetween, at least one of the pusher elements is rotatable about an axis extending lengthwise of the path in which a drive lug is moved by the pusher mechanism and biased to a datum position in which it is aligned with the other pusher element and the rotatable pusher element has a cam portion engageable by a drive lug to cause rotation of the pusher element about its axis to permit location of the drive lug between a pair of pusher elements. In the arrangement shown two pusher elements 13, rotatably mounted on a bolt 12, carried by a body portion 11 connected to a driving chain 6 mounted on wheels 8 running in a slotted tube 5, have cam-shaped leading edges 17 which when engaged by a drivelug 18, cause the element 13 engaged thereby to rotate about the bolt 12 to allow the lug 18 to move into driving contact with the concave face 20 of the other element 13. The elements 13 are returned to the operative position by gravity or a spring, Fig. 4 (not shown).
