831,746. Vibrating moulds. TYLER & CO. Ltd., E. W. and TYLER, J. Aug. 1, 1958 [Aug. 8, 1957], No. 25092/57. Class 87(2). A fastening device for detachably securing a vibrator to a mould comprises a bracket 3 rigidly fixed to the mould 2 and formed with a tapered bore 5 having a longitudinal slot 10 extending into one side thereof, a tapered plug 11 fitting in the bore, a plate 14 fixed to the tapered plug and carrying the vibrator 1, the plate extending through the slot, and a screw 20 coaxial with the tapered plug co-operating with a screw thread in the bracket to urge the tapered plug axially into the bore. The plate 14 to both welded to the plug 11 and screwed by screws 16, accessible through holes 19. The bracket 3 may be replaced by two brackets with slots parallel to the mould base and opening towards one another, the plate by which the vibrator is carried being common to the two slots.
