Abstract

<PICT:0831245/IV(c)/1> <PICT:0831245/IV(c)/2> <PICT:0831245/IV(c)/3> An apparatus for continuously treating fabrics with liquid is provided with one or more vibration members, the front and rear walls of which consist of two horizontally corrugated plates and which are box-shaped, open at their upper and lower ends and designed to oscillate vertically. As shown, each vibration member consists of two horizontally corrugated plates 1 arranged between side walls 2 so as to define a space 3 open at its upper and lower ends. At its upper end each vibration member is secured to rods 8 connected by a resilient support member 9 to vibrator 10 capable of imparting vertical oscillatory movements. On the side walls 2 of the vibration member may be arranged projections 4 consisting of or coated with, for instance, rubber, which damp vibrations. The projections 4 may serve as guide members for the vibration member and may be supported in U-shaped members 5 (Fig. 3), arranged on the walls of the treatment apparatus. Below each vibration member may be arranged a guide roll 6 for fabric 7 such that the latter moves in a zig-zag path through the apparatus.
