In a mounting arrangement, components are carried on a mounting unit comprising two parallel like insulating sheets such as 1, having a rectangular cut-out in one corner and held together by brackets such as 2 perforated to receive valve holders and a container such as 10 is provided capable of holding at least one of such mounting units and having a re-entrant space to accommodate the valves which project through suitable apertures made along one side of said re-entrant space. As described, each bracket 2, 21 is riveted to a corresponding sheet 1, 1<SP>1</SP> holes being provided so that the other sheet may be screwed to the remote side of the bracket. The outer surfaces may carry terminals and printed circuits, thin similar insulating sheets preventing contact with the sides of the container 10. The container 10 comprises two metal sides 13 separated by a one-piece flanged metal member 11 bent to form the ends, the bottom and the sides of the central cut-away rectangle and perforated at 16 to take valves supported by the brackets 2. The member 11 is welded to the sides 13. A container may hold a single mounting unit, or, by provision of walls such as 14, may hold two or four units. Containers may be fixed in a rack of bars 20 insulated from the container by spacers 23. A cover is secured to brackets 18, space being provided for wiring entry. Local earth terminals 22 are provided.
