[Also in Group XVII] In the moulding of a bottle 20 from polythene or polyvinyl and similar thermoplastic resins and having a cylindrical tubular neck 21 re-entering to a frusto-conical shape a softened tubular blank 26 is blown into a sectional mould to have a neck wall 21 and a truncated cone part 22a, the remaining part 26 being then severed from the part 22a by a smooth cut along a transverse plane and the wall 22a is then pressed inward to invert the truncated cone. U.S.A. Specifications 2,099,056 and 2,099,057 are referred to.
