Abstract

1,069,697. Extrusion-blow moulding. PLASTIC PRODUCTS Ltd. Aug. 7, 1964 [Aug. 15, 1963], No. 32203/64. Heading B5A. In an extrusion-blow moulding apparatus two strips of plastics material from an extruder are fed to a blow mould by a reciprocating gripper mechanism. The strips may be of different thicknesses and are severed by a cutter before being enclosed in the mould and expanded by air from a blowing nozzle. The mould halves are designed to make a liquid container, e.g. a cistern.
