829,248. Arrangement of wheels and axles. BILLINGTON, H. E. Oct. 24, 1957, No. 33175/57. Class 108(2) When a handle 23 of a jockey wheel supporting structure is turned, an inner member 12 slides in an outer member 11 moved by a screw portion 20 of a screwrod 18 which co-operates with a nut 27. The screw-rod 18 is restrained from downward movement by a portion 24 of the handle 23 which bears on the outer member 11. The nut 27 is restrained in the member 12 by a key 29, Fig. 2, which engages a key-way 28. A shoulder 21, Fig. 1, of the screw-rod 18, formed during the thread-rolling process, bears through a thrust bearing 22 on a thrust washer 15, Fig. 2, which is restrained from axial movement by a split spring retaining ring 14 acting on a seat 16. A plug 36, Fig. 1, held by an indentation 37 strengthens the member 12. A U-shaped arm 30 is welded round the base of the member 12.
