Abstract

A solid or semi-solid composition or a syrup or elixir for the treatment of diabetes comprise at least 1% by weight and preferably 5-75% of 2 - p - aminobenzenesulphonamido - 5 - tert. - butyl-1 : 3 : 4-thiadiazole and a pharmaceutical carrier. Specified carriers are starch, lactose, talc, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, or gums. The composition may be administered as a tablet or powder or in a capsule.
