Abstract

827,929. Brushes. OSBORN MANUFACTURING CO. Aug. 20, 1957 [May 8, 1957], No. 26312 /57. Drawings to Specification. Class 19. A brush element is formed by two wires secured together at longitudinally spaced intervals and brush material that is interposed at intervals transversely between the wires to form flat, oppositely extending tufts before the wires are secured together between the tufts to clamp on the tufts. The wires are of semicircular cross-section with the flat faces in opposition. Each flat face may have a longitudinal recess which can be filled with bonding material or resilient material to improve the securing of the tufts between the wires. The element may be twisted after or during formation so that sucessive tufts are angularly offset to lie in a helix. Specifications 645,407, 657,024, 791,497, 827,928 and U.S.A.
