Abstract
827,631. Printing surfaces. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT HEIDELBERG. Sept. 24, 1957 [July 25, 1957], No. 29907/57. Class 100(2) A curved cylinder for relief printing machines having a removable stereotype plate jacket 4 is characterized in that the jacket is mounted in a fork-like manner on the core 1 of the cylinder which has guide surfaces 3, the jacket 4 being held on the core 1 by a ring 40 mounted on one end of the core 1 and provided with a jacket edge engaging recess 41. At the other end of the core a ring 42 is provided having a thread 43 for receiving a further ring 44 provided with bores 45. Thrust pins extend through the ring 42, are axially adjustable in the bores 45 and bear against a clamping ring 47, axially movable with respect to the core 1. The plates 10 may be on the jacket 4 by means of adhesive or by providing the jacket with helical clamping grooves 7. Alternatively when two jackets are mounted axially of one another a central fixed ring is provided and both ends of the core are provided with adjustable clamping rings 47.
