Abstract

826,971. Collectors. KING, H. W. M. June 28, 1957 [July 6, 1956], No. 21031/56. Class 38(1). In a bus-bar duct system of the kind wherein the bus-bars 12 are supported in a U-shaped casing 10 having inturned ends 13 forming guide tracks for a trolley collector 14, the mouth of the casing is closed by a flexible insulating strip 16 and the trolley collector carries a plough 17 formed in two halves which together form an inverted U-shaped guide channel 19, Fig. 3, for the strip 16, which projects beyond the ends of the collector so that as the latter moves along the casing, the strip is flexed and displaced therefrom, passed over the collector and flexed and returned to the casing in its wake. Alternatively, the collector may carry rollers which flex and guide the strip.
