A rowlock comprising a stirrup 17 on a stem 18 which in the upright operative position of the rowlock fits in the bearing 14 of support 10, and having links 21 and 24 with a head 26 which prevents uncoupling of the rowlock from the support, is adapted to be litted and inverted so that the link 21 engages a slat 16 in the bearing, the stem 18 is engaged in a spring clip 27 on the support, and the rowlock is suspended with its stem alongside the bearing 14 and is prevented from movement about the axis of the bearing.
