[Also in Group XXIX] Means for adjusting the delivery of an hydraulic pump of a vehicle transmission system is locked in the position for zero delivery when a switch controlling the motor which drives the pump is in its " OFF " position. A contact arm 5 is actuable by a hand lever E to close contacts 2, 3 of an electric motor, the arm 5 having a spindle 4 the forked end 4a of which is located in a recess 11a in a locking disc 11 when the locking disc is in its zero delivery position. Rotation of lever E to close the contacts 2, 3 also rotates an arm 34 having a cam surface 35 bearing on a collar 36 of a rod 32, so that the rod 32 is withdrawn from a hole 33 in a quadrant 20 so that a lever R can now be moved. Lever R controls the setting of a reversing valve of the hydraulic transmission and in the forward and reverse position of this valve gaps in the quadrant 20 are brought into the plane of the disc 11 so that the disc can be rotated by hand wheel G to vary the delivery of the pump. The periphery of the disc passes through the space between the forks 4a of the contact arm spindle and thus prevents movement of lever E to its " OFF " position except when the disc is in the zero delivery position. Lever R is also locked by the disc 11 except the zero delivery position of the disc. In addition, lever E is held in its " ON " position by a catch 14 releasable manually through a lever A or by means of a timing device acting through a linkage 37. The lever E is spring biased to its " OFF " position, and disc 11 is biased by a spring 30 to its zero delivery position.
