Abstract

[Also in Group XXVII] An adjustable linkage adapted to vary the relative intermediate positions of a controlling member 7 and a controlled member 8 whilst not affecting the relative positions at the extreme limits of movement, and particularly applicable to the engine throttle control of a multi-engine aircraft, comprises a floating link 14 coupled at C and 11 to the pivoted members 7 and 8 respectively. The link 14 is also pivoted on a movable pivot B at one end of a link 3 which is mounted at its other end on a pivot D carried by a rotary adjusting member 2 having an axis A. The pivot B is arranged so that its arc of movement always passes through the axis A but is altered with the adjustment of member 2 which can be suitably locked in adjusted position. Thus, in an engine throttle control the " ground-idle " position of lever 8 can be adjusted over the range indicated relative to the lever 7 by rotary adjustment of member 2 while the " full power " and " start " relative positions are unaffected.
