Class 87(1) In a corner tile comprising two mutually perpendicular plates connected along adjoining straight edges, the end edges of the plates, at one. end at least, extend at approximately 45 degrees to the connected edges. The tile may be cut from a combination tile 19, Fig. 2, of polystyrene &c., grooved at 25 to facilitate sub-division. As shown, the tile 19 comprises two rectangular plates 21 each being twice as long as it is wide but the length may be a higher multiple of the width. Two types of tile may be cut from the combination tile 19; one comprises two mutually perpendicular right angled isosceles triangles 26 connected along non-hypotenuse edges, and the second comprises a trapeziumshaped plate consisting of co-planar triangular elements 26, 27 connected along its shorter parallel edge to a perpendicular plate 26. A further tile 29, Fig. 8, comprises one tile of each of these two types. In another modification, Fig. 12, one plate 21 consisting of two trapezium shaped elements is connected along the line 24 to a perpendicular plate 21 comprising two triangular elements. For facing re-entrant or projecting corners, the exposed faces of the tiles are at 90 degrees or 270 degrees respectively, or alternatively both faces may have a similar surface finish so that the tile may be used in either position. The grooves 25 are shaped similarly to the free edges, being of V- or U-shape in cross-section or of part-circular or other arcuate form, and may be provided on the exposed face as shown, or on the rear face to provide a flush exposed surface. The rear face has a peripheral flange 23, Fig. 4, and may be dimpled, roughened or formed with projections and recesses.
