822,497. Road vehicle spring suspensions. MACKERLE, J. May 29, 1956 [June 9, 1955], No. 16567/56. Class 108(2) [Also in Group XXXI] Relates to independently suspended rear driving wheels (see Group XXXI) each supported by an axle casing pivoted at its inner end to a differential gear casing (not shown). The casing carries a plate 15 to which are pivoted convergent, substantially horizontal suspension rods 16, 17, the lower rod 16 forming an arm on a vehicle suspension torsion spring 19 and being about twice the length of the rod 17.
