Abstract

An anti-corrosive coating composition for metals is formed by grinding an hydraulic cement, e.g. Portland cement, with one or more bituminous and/or resinous bonding agents selected from coal tar, cyclized rubber, butadiene - styrene copolymer, and polychlordiphenyls in the presence of a solvent such as naphtha or white spirit. A paste of powdered aluminium and white spirit may be included in the composition. One or more coats of aluminium paint or, in the case of surfaces in contact with sea-water, of anti-fouling paint, may be applied over the cementitious coating. Specification 818,438 is referred to.ALSO:An anti-corrosive coating composition for metals is formed by grinding an hydraulic cement, e.g. Portland cement, with one or more bituminous and/or resinous bonding agents selected from coal tar, cyclised rubber, butadiene-styrene copolymer, and polychlor-diphenyls in the presence of a solvent such as naphtha or white spirit.
