818,995. Greenhouses. BULL, J. July 23, 1957 [Aug. 22, 1956], No. 25658/56. Class 20(1) A greenhouse comprises a framework of light tubular metal mounted on skids, whereby it can be moved manually or towed from one site to another. The framework comprises arch members 2 braced by struts 4 and 5 and having their ends inserted in holes 3 in the tubular members 1 which form the skids. The framework may be built up from separate frame sections, the adjoining arch elements of adjacent sections being held together by clamps 10, and adjacent sections of the skids being joined by means of tubular elements 8, formed with holes 9 which, when the element 8 is inserted into the ends of adjacent skid sections, register with the holes 3 and are therefore also engaged by the ends of the arch elements 2. The greenhouse is preferably covered by a double layer of transparent material, and, when the framework is built up from separate sections, this may be effected by covering each section with a tubular piece of material before assembling the greenhouse. The Provisional Specification refers to the possibility of covering the upturned ends of the skids to prevent the entry of water thereinto.
