Abstract

Therapeutic compositions comprise tetracycline sodium hexametaphosphate complex and at least one additional drug chemically and physiologically compatible therewith. Many drugs are exemplified and include antihistamines, sulpha drugs, lipotropic agents, central nervous system stimulants, local anaesthetics, analgesics, laxatives, sedatives, vitamins, hormones, antifungal agents, and antibiotics. Many examples of substances within the above classes of drug are given. The compositions may take the form of powders, tablets, which may be coated and contain medicaments in the coatings, lozenges, capsules, suspensions in oils or water, or in ointments and lotions, and may be administered in suppositories, dental cones or p bougies.
