In a C.W. frequency-modulated radar system, several horizontally adjacent, highly directional, differently directed receivers are each connected to separate storage circuits, which are explored sequentially in synchronism with the X-deflection of the display C.R.T. The Y- deflection and the sawtooth modulation of the transmitted frequency are synchronized and the C.R.T. control electrode is energized from the exploring device whereby a target located in one of the receiver zones produces a signal in the corresponding store which is applied to the C.R.T. screen at the instant when the spot X-deflection corresponds with the target azimuth position. The target range is given by the spot Y-deflection.
