A motor is supported beneath the top of a sewing-machine table, or stand for an industrial machine by means of a platform 2 beneath which is bolted a channel-shaped element 5. Both members may have slots through which bolts may pass, and further slots 9 are provided in the channel-shaped element to enable the motor to be secured beneath it.
