Abstract
815,903. Electric signalling systems. LANDIS & GYR A.G. June 21, 1955 [June 23, 1954], No. 17967/55. Class 40 (1). [Also in Group XIX] Telemetering apparatus wherein the readings of a group of meters are transmitted as trains of impulses to a central station wherein they are recorded and registered on individual counters and on a grand total counter. At each meter station impulses generated by an impulse contact ZJ, Fig. 1, of the meter are registered on one or other of two storage devices SPI, SPII in accordance with the position of a switch device SU. Each of the storage devices comprises rotary selector switches and associated relays. At the central station a selecting device MW comprising time-controlled rotary switches successively connects each meter station via an ultra-short-wave channel to the central station whereupon the switch device SU is changed over to connect the impulse contact ZJ with the other storage device SPI or SPII and the storage device SPII or SPI previously connected thereto is now connected to the transmitting arrangement UK. The registration on the lastmentioned storage device is scanned by a rotary selector switch which transmits the said registration as a series of impulses to the central station wherein they are received and registered by a rotary switch and associated relays. A number of impulses indicative of the particular station is also transmitted to and registered in the central station. The central station registering means are then scanned and the appropriate number of impulses are re-transmitted to the meter station wherein they are received by a rotary selector switch and compared with the original number registered at the meter station. If the two numbers are in agreement an impulse is sent to the central station and the number registered therein is transmitted by a rotary switch to a recording counter ZD, to the appropriate one of a group of totalizing counters SZ1-SZX and to a grand total counter GSZ. At the same time in the meter station the registered number is transmitted to a recording counter ZD and a total counter SZ1. The recording counters ZD effect recording and are zeroized. The time of the recording is also recorded. If the above-mentioned comparison results in lack of agreement an alarm impulse is sent to the central station and the number registered therein is cancelled and the number registered at the meter station is again transmitted, If the comparison now results in agreement the number is recorded and registered at the central and meter stations as before. If there is lack of agreement for the second time the respective registrations at the central and meter stations are recorded and totalled, a special mark being made beside the central station recording.
