Abstract

1487073 Panoramic receivers PENTEL KK 11 Oct 1974 44189/74 Heading H3Q [Also in Division G4] In a communications system comprising answering devices (A 1 -A n , Fig. 1, not shown) each transmitting an answer signal of different frequency on operation of a switch (1) and a response analyser (B), the analyser, Fig. 2, comprises a tuning circuit 4 for receiving the answer signals, frequency converter 9, a local oscillator 8 whose frequency is periodically varied by a ramp generator 7 which is periodically reset by a reference pulse generator 6, an IF amplifier 10 providing identifying signals separated in time which identify the answer signals, AND gates 17 connected to receive sampling pulses from a sampling pulse generator 16 and identifying signals shaped at 12 and indicators 18 operated by the output of a respective one of the AND gates so that the indicators indicate which of the answer signals have been received. The reference pulse generator 6 also periodically resets a counter 13 and the sampling pulse generator 16. The count in counter 13, before it is reset, is supplied to an indicating meter 15 for displaying the number of responses or its proportion against the total number of the answering devices. The analyser can be used for totalization of votes and determination of educational effects.
