Abstract

1509610 Alarm systems THOMSON-CSF 29 Aug 1975 [30 Aug 1974] 35822/75 Heading G4H In an alarm system, each of a plurality of remote stations transmits (e.g. by radio) bursts of a common carrier modulated with a respective frequency characteristic of the particular remote station, the number of bursts per unit time being different for different remote stations, transmission being blocked on detection of an alarm condition, each of one or more central stations having a receiver which demodulates the signal, detects the different station frequencies using respective filters, eliminates doubtful pulses from the detectors and uses the remaining detector outputs to reset appropriate clock-driven counters (one per remote station), each counter giving an indication if it reaches a predetermined count.
