813,733. Locks. KIENZLE APPARATE G.m.b.H. May 22, 1957 [May 23, 1956; March 12, 1957; March 18, 1957], No. 16236/57. Class 44 [Also in Group XIX] A barrel lock secured to a recording speedometer and used both for locking the speedometer and for controlling additional apparatus without unlocking the speedometer (see Group XIX) is arranged so that a normal key can rotate the barrel 90 degrees to unlock it, while two additional special 'keys can rotate it only 45 degrees, one in each direction, for oontrolling the additional apparatus. One special key, Fig. 2, has wards 15 co-operating with resilient pins 16, and a projection 20, co-operating with a locking member 21 in the surrounding part of the lock having a recess communicating with a 45 degrees arcuate recess in the stationary member, to limit the movement to 45 degrees to the left. The second special key has a projedtion staggered axially with respect to that of the first key and co-operating with a second locking member 22, Figs. 2 and 4, and a recess 23, to allow movement to the right. A spring- pressed pin 36 in the stationary member 19 engages recesses 37 in the rotatable part 18 and acts as a detent. The normal key has no projection 20. In another form, Figs. 5 and 7, one key has a recess 25 and the other a recess 26, while the member 19 has four wards, 27, 28 aligned with the recess 26 and 29, 30 aligned with the recess 25. The normal key has two recesses. In another form, Figs. 8 and 10, one key has a recess 31 and the other a recess 32, while the member 19 has fitted thereto two segmental members 33, 34. Thus the first key can turn 45 degrees to the left, and the second key 45 degrees to the right as shown in Fig. 10. The normal key has both recesses.
