Abstract

812,811. Fencing ; wire strainers. BONE, S. J. June 9, 1955 [July 2, 1954], No. 19385/54. Class 45. [Also in Group XXV] An electrified wire fence includes a detachable section 11 which consists of a web 12 bars, 13, 14, 16, hooks 18, tension springs 17 and insulated leads 34 arranged as shown. The hooks are supported by anchoring elements 23 which are adjustably 'mounted on angle irons 20 and consist of a ring 24 having a web 26 of angle iron welded thereto, a clamping screw 27, an insulating ring 29, a divided collar 32 provided with insulated hooks 19 and an insulated lead 34 incorporating a detachable plug and socket connection 35. The members 20 are held in position by bracing rods 36 bolted to a collar 37. Adjacent fencing sections 33 are interconnected by at least one turnbuckle 41, see Fig. 2 (not shown), spreaders having insulated ends 46a being provided as shown, adjustably mounted on supports 47 by collars 48. Refereance has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 686,476.
