812,400. Projectile fuzes. INVENTA AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT FUR FORSCHUNG UND PATENTVERWERTUNG. Aug. 23, 1956 [Aug, 23, 1955], No. 25804/56. Class 9(1) A voltage generator for a projectile electric detonator comprises a permanent magnet 1 having an induction coil 3, and explosive charge 4 spaced from the coil 3, and a striking pin 5 by which the charge 4 is mechanically ignited whereby the permanent magnetic flux circuit is broken by either removal of the armature 2 or partial destruction of the magnet 1 to induce a high voltage impulse in the coil 3. The striking pin is actuated when the projectile, not either is discharged from a weapon or hits a target, and the high voltage impulse, explodes the projectile by causing a wire to become incandescent, by exploding a detonator, or by charging a condenser which may be discharged over an electric detonator.
