[Also in Group XXIX] A steam, air or gas pressure motor comprises two die-cast housings, namely a motor cylinder housing and a control valve housing, each housing having a flat face and containing chambers which do not intersect the face, each face having grooves therein to operatively connect the chambers of the housings when the two housings are secured together with their flat faces abutting. When the housings are assembled the grooves form passages, the crosssectional area of which may be reduced by taking off a layer of either housing surface, or increased by the introduction between the passages of a slotted passage plate.
