809,524. Inductive telegraphy. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Dec. 7, 1956 [Dec. 8, 1955], No. 37483/56. Addition to 808,541. Class 40 (5). In an inductive signalling system for communication between a fixed station and a moving lift cage, substantially as described in the parent Specification the rope fastening is not insulated but forms with the cage an electrical closed circuit, an iron-cored transformer 5 for inductive coupling being attached to the cage. Calling may be achieved by causing the amplifier to oscillate by juxtaposing the microphone and loud-speaker.
