Class 108(1) A hand cart comprises a frame 1 provided with two wheels 4 and a body 8 pivotally mounted on a transverse axle 7 carried by the frame in front of the wheels, a handle 3 extending rearwardly from the frame at each side of the body 8, which body normally rests upon the frame, the axle 7 constituting a tilt axle for the body and being situated in front of the perpendicular from the centre of gravity G of the body when full in its normal position on the frame and at a distance sufficiently small to enable said body to tilt of its own accord under the action of gravity, but preventing the tilt axle from reaching the ground when the frame is pivoted about the axis of wheels 4 by a slight lifting of handles 3, the body having a front rim ahead of axle 7 so that when the body tilts, this front rim rests on the ground ahead of the verticle plane containing axle 7; further use of handles 3 causing the front underface of the body 8 to bear against the rims of wheels 4 before the body is able to rest flat on the ground completely overturned.
