Abstract

808,628. Switch cases. REVO ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. March 1, 1957 [March 5, 1956], No. 6797/56. Class 38 (5). The covers 8 of a switch-and-fuse assembly is secured to the housing 7 by a screw 10 having a shoulder 12, washer 11 and spacer sleeve 13, and a locking plate 14 operated by the pivoted switch-operating lever 9 has an extensions 14a with a slot 15 which, in the " on " position, engages round the screw 10 in front of the washer 11 to lock the screw against removal. The plate 14 is located between a cover plate 16 and a bracket 17 which is cranked to pass through a slot in plate 16 and apertured to receive the plate 14 slidably. A spring plunger 18 in the base 6 co-operates with a keyhole slot 14b in plate 14 to lock the switch against operation when the cover is removed. When the cover is in place it depresses the plunger so that an outer end of lesser diameter can receive the slot of 14b. The outer end projects through a hole in bracket 17 for this purpose, the hole being small enough to arrest the larger-diameter plunger portion. The plate 14 may bear " on " and " off " indicia. The Provisional Specification states that the washer may be screwthreaded and locked on the screw.
